Amicia and Hugo return, with another harrowing quest of courage, love, and honour.

The sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, set in medieval Provence, 1348, siblings Amicia and Hugo return to embark on a gruelling and heart-breaking story of survival.

In the game's predecessor, an Ill 5 year old Hugo and warrior sister, 15 year old Amicia, fled Guienne, to escape the Black Plague, seeking solace from the French Inquisition; who murdered their father and pursued Hugo's power to win the Hundred Years' War. This time around, the de Runes face The Order, as Amicia takes on the role of The Protector, set on finding a cure for Hugo's sickness, the Macula, and let's not forget - the RATS!

Attention impatient or amateur players of the franchise - This is not a 'leg it and hope', 'rampage', or 'charge through' survival game, it's all about stealth and strategy - believe me running straight through is never the wise choice, but, if you make it across, remember, the hunt never ends!

With dynamic characters, Tomb Raider-esque puzzles, and archaic alchemy (who doesn't enjoy pyrotechnics)?! A Plague Tale Requiem offers a rich experience of period architecture and medieval fantasy, requiring stealth and strategy to survive. Not to mention, the sweet story of Amicia and Hugo's devotion to one another.

Whether you played the first game or not, you will not be disappointed in this brutal, heart wrenching Survival/Horror RPG. With its sympathetic soundtrack, stunning landscapes, and truly gruesome cut-scenes. A Plague Tale Requiem will grip you from the moment chapter 1 disappears from the scripture load screen and you're thrown into the story.
A Plague Tale: Requiem review: a feast for the eyes, but its storytelling lacks bite | Rock Paper Shotgun
Hugo's dreaming, he's running, he's hurt. He sees a phoenix; he follows it to a beautiful lake. The water takes his pain away - what is this place?

Can Hugo's dream be the answer to the cure?
